tomato pay is thrilled to announce that Anna Tsyupko has joined the leadership team as Chief Operating Officer.
Drawing from her operating experience establishing and building fintech companies, Anna will lend her payments expertise to help usher in a new era for tomato pay as the company expands its payment capabilities following its BCR commitments to continue working on its mission to support the small business and sole trader communities.
In this role, Anna will be responsible for all internal operations across the business, leading on strategic initiatives impacting execution, including customer onboarding and success, compliance and legal and human resources.
A serial-fintech entrepreneur having founded and led businesses with a payments focus, including Paybase, a payments pioneer in the fintech space, Anna has been championing transformation in the payments arena for her entire career.
She is a well-known payments trailblazer, leading discussions in the media and events all over the world. Anna was an Advisory Board Member for the Emerging Payments Association and was named on Innovate Finance’s Women in Fintech Powerlist amongst other awards in recent years.
As small businesses and sole traders continue to suffer from fatigue with the current lockdown in the UK and a loss of income, challenges around business owners receiving and requesting payments from customers, vendors and partners have grown and become even more apparent, a problem that tomato pay wants to help solve.
The appointment comes at a time of growth and opportunity for tomato pay as the company moves on its position to help businesses with their working capital challenges through a payments-focused service for small businesses and sole traders.
Anna Tsyupko, Chief Operating Officer commented: “As a former founder of a small business, I can completely empathise with the small business community’s struggles, what they are facing now, and the uncertain future ahead. Community is what ties us all together, and if tomato pay can solve just one problem, it would be to create a better culture around payments in the UK. This is where we can start to address the deeper issues feeding into the current funding gap for SMEs. I am eager to support and build on what the incredible tomato pay team has done to date, and deepen our ties within the small business and sole trader community”.
Nicholas Heller, tomato pay CEO and co-founder commented: “We are beyond thrilled that Anna is joining us on our mission to give small businesses the best possible chance of succeeding through data-driven payment services. The insight Anna has from her own experiences as an entrepreneur, and her work with high-growth startups will no doubt push tomato pay into the next stage of its evolution”.
