The incredible Michael Edward Stephens, Founder of We Create Space hosted the event and made sure that all speakers were able to share their journey throughout, giving the audience some incredible insights. Michael said: "Identity and the cultures we belong to can both reinforce those pressures and offer us a solution. It’s being able to identify the difference and lean into your strengths". Our speakers - Transformation Coach and Consultant Maylis Djikalou, FemTech Innovator and Entrepreneur Kim Palmer, Co-founder of Startup Discovery School Mandy Nyarko and BP Launchpads People Practice Lead and Podcaster Ruth Penfold all had a lot to discuss and say throughout the nearly hour-long talk (honestly, we could have spoken much longer!). Some key takeaways from the event:  The past year has been a test to mental, physical and emotional well-being. It has thrown more than one challenge and in turn has allowed us time to reflect on our personal and professional journey.  As a result of Covid-19, many businesses have struggled, leading to a [high percentage increase](https://www.ons.gov.uk/businessindustryandtrade/business/businessservices/bulletins/coronavirusandtheeconomicimpactsontheuk/19november2020]) of businesses either seeing a decrease in turnover or sadly closing their doors in 2020.
